Welcome to an extra F1Minute for the 13th February 2010, all about testing.
The final day concluded an hour or so ago, with the teams ready to wave goodbye to Jerez until next week. Hamilton topped the timesheets with a 1:19.5, which occured after the morning rain had cleared up. Sutil was second for Force India, and Barrichello was third for Williams. Virgin Racing had a much better day than they have all week, with di Grassi completing 63 laps and finishing about three seconds off the pace, rather than the ten seconds they were yesterday. More importantly, they weren’t last, as Alguersuari was tenth for Toro Rosso.
Schumacher caused a red flag after running out of fuel - on purpose - and Massa did something similar, also managing to complete two full race distances. Massa ended up seventh, Schumacher fifth, with Vettel between them. Following a successful test, Sutil said: “It’s early days, but I’ve never had such a good feeling before the season. That’s why I’m looking forward to the race.”
That’s all for now, I will be back on Monday for another F1Minute.
