This is F1Minute and it’s the 6th May 2009.
BMW have decided against KERS for this weekend, and now it seems as though Force India have also ruled out running the device until later in the season. Vijay Mallya has said it was always the plan to introduce KERS when the European races began, but for now, they are working on aero updates instead. Following on from some improvements in Bahrain, the team plan to introduce a new front wing, making use of the adjustable front flap allowance.
Elsewhere, FOTA met today to discuss the budget cap proposals presented by the FIA last week. There is no word yet on what they have decided, but it shouldn’t be long before we learn if they are still in unanimous agreement.
Finally, sad news, Max Mosley’s son Alexander was found dead in his home in London yesterday. The police say it is not suspicious and the FIA have sent their condolences to the family.
That’s all for now, I’ll be back tomorrow with another F1Minute.
