Hi everyone, this is F1Minute for the 6th March 2008.
The F1 Technical Working Group were looking into the possibility of holding a test session at night in preparation for the Singapore Grand Prix, but this idea has now been abandoned. It’s thought teams couldn’t justify the expense of the test, despite wanting to experiment with the different lighting and cooler temperatures. Now teams will get their first taste of night racing during Free Practice 2 on the Saturday of the race weekend.
In predictions news, Damon Hill has been talking about the espionage case and it’s effect on McLaren, and Lewis Hamilton as well. He thinks there will be added pressure on the team, even though the FIA have finished their investigation, because of the ongoing Italian questions. He says looking back on the 2007 season makes his heart sink.
Massa has said that even though Räikkönen will be defending his world title, there is still no number one driver in the team, and they both share equal status, up until the point that one of them has no chance of clinching the title.
That’s all for today, join me again tomorrow for another F1Minute.
