This is F1Minute and it’s the 4th April 2010.
Sebastian Vettel has secured his first win of the season over teammate Mark Webber - with Red Bull pulling off a dominant 1-2. Vettel overtook Webber at the very first corner, which allowed him to dictate how the rest of the race went. The McLaren drivers also put in a strong performance, with Hamilton overtaking his way through the field to 6th and Button managing his tyre strategy well for an 8th place finish.
There were lots of retirees, including Kovalainen, Petrov, Liuzzi, Schumacher, Kobayashi, Glock and Pedro de la Rosa, who actually didn’t make it round the formation lap.
Di Grassi got to the finish line - the first time for Virgin Racing - albeit three laps down. Alguersuari picked up his first points for Toro Rosso finishing 9th, with Hülkenberg also making his points debut in 10th.
Alonso was making good progress through the field but his engine gave up a few laps from the end.
That’s all for today, I’ll be back tomorrow with another F1Minute.
