Vital statistics for Martin Donnelly

Formula One driver 1989-1990, demonstrates in the Lotus 102 at various events, owner of Donnelly Track Academy.

Martin Donnelly made his F1 debut in 1989, driving for the Arrows team in place of fellow F1 steward Derek Warwick. A good performance saw him snapped up by Lotus, with whom he raced in 1990. Unfortunately, Donnelly was only 12 races into his career when he suffered a horrific accident during practice for the Spanish Grand Prix.

His F1 career was over, but he continued to race in other series, and has made guest appearances at motorsport events - for example, racing up the Goodwood Hill. He has his own racing Academy in Norfolk, and joined the F1 stewarding team to oversee the current crop of driving stars.
