Biography

Alan Jones made his F1 debut in 1975, driving for the Hesketh team. He worked through several more outfits, before taking his first victory in Austria with Shadow Racing. The Australian driver moved to Williams in 1978, and started winning more races, until he became World Champion in 1980. After a few less successful years, Jones retired from Formula One.

He moved to the Australian Touring Car Championship, and most recently competed in V8 Supercars. He has also signed with the Australian F1 broadcasters to commentate on their coverage.
