Fastest laps - United States Grand Prix 2017 - Vettel posts the fastest lap in effort to stay in title fight

Vettel couldn't hold the Mercedes of Hamilton behind him for very long after taking the lead early in the race, but his charge back to second place towards the end of the race allowed him to secure the fastest lap of the Grand Prix. Race winner Lewis was actually the fifth fastest, with a surprising Kevin Magnussen slipping into the top three fastest laps posted during the race.

Brendon Hartley did a good job during his first ever F1 race, and although the result wasn't particularly outstanding, he did manage to pick up the eighth fastest lap of the race.
