A race of high attrition saw just twelve classified racers by the time the two hours counted down - we went to a timed race rather than completing the full 61 laps. Lewis Hamilton took a surprise victory, after his main competitors took each other out on the first lap, and Daniel Ricciardo chased hard but had to settle for second place.

Aside from the four drivers taken out by the first lap contact, Daniil Kvyat and Marcus Ericsson hit the walls and retired, whilst Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hülkenberg ended up in the garage with cars that were unable to stand the heat of a full two hours of racing.
