Marcus Ericsson was one of the many who have made contact with the walls around Marina Bay, but his was a more significant crash. The Sauber driver brought out red flags whilst the damage was sorted out, and the action got going after about twenty minutes.

Max Verstappen had a significant issue towards the end of the session, instructed to coast back to the pit lane with gearbox troubles. He did manage to finish top of the times, however, with Red Bull continuing to lead the way with three top time practice sessions under their belts.

McLaren continued their good run around the street circuit of Singapore, with Alonso and Vandoorne finishing within the top five.
