Fastest laps - Russian Grand Prix 2017 // Räikkönen snatches quickest lap time towards end of race

Räikkönen snatches quickest lap time towards end of race

The Ferrari pair both appeared to have superior pace to the rest of the field, it was just circumstances that robbed them of the race victory. Both Räikkönen and Vettel finished ahead of eventual race winner Bottas in terms of the fastest lap table, with Hamilton way down on pace in sixth.

There were three drivers unable to set a timed lap, with Alonso failing to make the start of the race, as well as Grosjean and Palmer knocking each other out on the first lap. Ricciardo's retirement also saw him on the wrong end of the charts, although Verstappen's eighth place fastest lap suggests that Red Bull were down on pace anyway.
