The Mercedes charge hasn't been contained at all after the racing in Sepang, and Ferrari have struggled to keep tabs on their rivals. Vettel did the best he could to minimise the damage in the driver battle, but as a team, Ferrari have endured a difficult and disappointing couple of races. Red Bull, however, have forged forward and improved their position in the standings, although they are still in a lonely third place.

Further back, although there were no changes in position, McLaren made progress, as did Williams, but the lower half of the table all still have fewer than 100 points.
