Qualifying in Suzuka was a little chaotic in its own right, but following the session, the order of cars was mixed up even further with a handful of component related penalties. The biggest hit is reserved for Fernando Alonso, but Carlos Sainz and Jolyon Palmer have also had hefty power unit penalties handed to them as well.

Meanwhile, both Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Räikkönen have taken grid drops related to gearbox changes, as the end of the long season starts to take its toll on the cars.
