There was heavy rain just before FP2 was due to get going, so the start of the session was delayed. Teams were all about making mini boats to sail down the rivers in the pit lane but, eventually, they had to get back to work.

With just 45 minutes on the clock, a handful of cars headed out on full wets to set a lap time, but otherwise it was very quiet. Hamilton led the timesheets, but only five drivers actually set a time, and nine more completed one or two installation laps.
