Sebastian Vettel easily swept to pole position in Hungary, as Kimi Räikkönen sailed into second place to make it a last-minute Ferrari 1-2 finish. The Mercedes duo were behind him - Lewis Hamilton struggled to put together a clean lap, settling for fourth place on the grid. The Red Bull pair locked out the third row on the grid with Max Verstappen getting ahead of his teammate.

Meanwhile, there was also plenty of attention on Paul di Resta, making his F1 return after three and a half years. The Brit finished seven tenths behind his teammate, and crucially, not last on the grid, which is a good performance for a last-minute substitution.
