The final hour of practice saw drivers under a bit more control, with everyone managing to complete at least 18 laps out on track. Ferrari took a 1-2 lead in the session, with Hamilton in third. Valtteri Bottas was caught out by traffic on his flying laps and ended up with the fifth fastest time.

Meanwhile at the other end of the timesheets, Sauber were down on power and locked out the wrong end of the leaderboard. Lance Stroll continued to struggle to get performance out of his Williams, finishing 18th compared to Massa's 7th, despite home crowd support.
