The big news of the weekend was Lance Stroll's solid performance on Sunday to pick up his first ever points in Formula One, finishing in ninth place. The other news was Lewis Hamilton's race victory helping to close the gap to current championship leader Sebastian Vettel - the difference now 12 points.

Daniel Ricciardo's podium finish allowed him to move closer to Kimi Räikkönen, chasing the Finn for fourth place. Meanwhile, Esteban Ocon jumped two drivers to move into eighth place, but he still has some way to go to catch up with his teammate just ahead of him in seventh.
