Lewis Hamilton posted the fastest time in final practice, as the rain came down. It was just over halfway through the session when the clouds burst and the rain come down. Some drivers opted to test out Pirelli's intermediate tyres, which haven't been seen very often this year. The wet tarmac did cause problems for a few, and there were a handful of spins, but no major damage was done.

At the top, it was Hamilton ahead of Vettel, with Bottas in third - the top three split by less than a tenth of a second, showing just how close it is between Ferrari and Mercedes at this mid-point of the season.
