Several drivers made progress in the championship standings after the racing action in Austin, with Sebastian Vettel getting back ahead of his teammate, as well as Max Verstappen and moving into fourth place. Sergio Pérez has also moved up, now sitting in seventh place, three points ahead of Valtteri Bottas.

And finally, Fernando Alonso has moved into the top ten, deposing Felipe Massa and sitting three points ahead of the Williams driver.
