Free Practice 2 results - German Grand Prix 2016 - Rosberg leads the way as stewards clamp down on track limits

Once again, Nico Rosberg was the fastest driver on track with Lewis Hamilton settling for second place. Red Bull and Ferrari were scrapping over who could be best of the rest, and that honour went to Sebastian Vettel, who was two tenths down on Hamilton. Max Verstappen was fourth, finishing ahead of his own teammate.

Meanwhile, Jenson Button missed half the session due to mechanical issues, and Romain Grosjean also suffered due to braking problems. He spun off track a couple of times, finished only 13 laps overall, and spent much of his time in the garage as well. Turn one continued to cause trouble for many drivers and the stewards confirmed they were keeping a beady eye on proceedings in that area.
