Hamilton made it three for three on Saturday morning, topping another practice session, but all eyes were on Marcus Ericsson as the Sauber driver suffered a high speed crash just over halfway through the session. After losing control of his car, Ericsson spun into the barriers before bouncing away again and ending up back on track. The session was paused whilst the car was recovered and the barriers were repaired.

With just a few minutes left on the clock when the track was green once more, it was flying laps all round that saw Lewis fastest, Red Bull best of the rest, and both Alonso and Hülkenberg appearing in the top ten once again.
