Max Verstappen set the fastest lap of the race at Interlagos, which will come as no surprise to anyone, considering his performance towards the end of the event. Powering past cars he had no business chasing down, the Dutchman did an incredible job and made everyone else look like they were driving through treacle. Finding lines that others couldn't, the Red Bull driver made it look easy.

Interestingly, both the Red Bull drivers were faster in the wet than the two Mercedes, with a few tenths over Lewis Hamilton. Nico Rosberg was further back, almost a second slower than the top lap time.
