Free Practice 2 results - Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2016 - Toro Rosso suffer puncture in second practice

Hamilton was the fastest driver for the second session in a row but the gap between him and championship rival Rosberg is miniscule at this point in the weekend. Sebastian Vettel set the initial benchmark but later suffered a gearbox failure that saw him stopped out on track towards the end of the session.

Red Bull droüpped back behind Ferrari in this session, with both drivers complaining about a loss of power at various points throughout the session. Grosjean had a water pressure issue that saw him stuck in the garage for a while, and Toro Rosso had another disturbed session. Kvyat picked up a second puncture, identical to the failure in FP1, which meant the FIA dispatched their technical delegate to the garage for further investigation.
