Free Practice 1 results - United States Grand Prix 2015 - Rosberg leads a very wet session in Austin

There was a lot of rain before the first practice session of the weekend got underway but thankfully the weather let up for the session to begin. With more precipitation on the cards, drivers were quickly out on track setting laps, but even so it was still a difficult session for most.

Nico Rosberg was the fastest out on track by the end, with two Red Bull drivers behind him. Lewis Hamilton finished fifth overall, slipping behind Carlos Sainz in the Toro Rosso. Pastor Maldonado failed to get a lap time on the board due to his Lotus picking up a gearbox issue that kept him in the garage for the majority of the session.
