Qualifying results - Japanese Grand Prix 2015 - Kvyat crash halts Suzuka session with Rosberg on pole

Nico Rosberg lucked into a pole position in Japan after the final session of qualifying was halted following a Red Bull crash. Daniil Kvyat found himself spinning off into the barriers destroying his car and bringing out the red flags to effectively end the competition. Hamilton was unable to fight back handing Rosberg the pole position by seven hundredths of a second.

Max Verstappen also suffered an abrupt end to his qualifying when the Toro Rosso stopped out on track, bringing out yellow flags. Marcus Ericsson spun his Sauber which meant both drivers for the Swiss team ended 15th and 16th.
