Force India have regained fifth place in the standings from Lotus, after a solid finish in Italy. They have 13 points on their rivals now so have given themselves a little bit of breathing space. Ferrari managed to keep pace with Mercedes but the gap is so big it is of little difference. Williams have also gone up but remain in third place, making little inroads in closing the gap to the second place Scuderia.

There are ten points between Toro Rosso and Sauber, and as the season starts to head towards its conclusion, these are the positions that are going to be fought harder and harder. Meanwhile, Manor remain on zero.
