Driver standings - Hungarian Grand Prix 2015 - Vettel moves into the fight as Alonso makes great strides

Lewis Hamilton clings on to lead despite race results

The 2015 season had very much seemed like an all-Mercedes affair, and whilst no one would likely bet against them at this point, the Hungarian race results have had a big effect on the state of the championship.

Sebastian Vettel has moved in to a much more respectable position, remaining third, but now firmly a part of the battle. He's 42 points behind the leader, which makes it officially a three horse race at this point. Hamilton can only take positive from the fact he didn't lose out to his real rival, teammate Nico Rosberg, this weekend.

Further back, Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso moved up three places each, with McLaren's double points finish helping both their drivers on the scoreboard.
