Free Practice 2 results - British Grand Prix 2015 - Merhi and Grosjean spin as Mercedes lead the way

Nico Rosberg did the double on Friday by topping the second practice session as well as the first. FP2 came to an early halt when Romain Grosjean ran off track and had to have his Lotus recovered, but the action continued to allow drivers to focus on their longer run pace.

Toro Rosso weren’t quite as strong on pace as they had been in the early session, dropping back behind both the Red Bull drivers. Roberto Merhi brought out another red flag by spinning and the Manor driver finished last – almost six seconds off the pace of the front runners.
