Free Practice 1 results - British Grand Prix 2015 - Rosberg goes fastest as Wolff tops test driver trio

Three Friday drivers were in action during first practice, with Susie Wolff leading the trio – Jolyon Palmer and Raffaele Marciello following. Out front, Nico Rosberg posted the fastest time of the morning, despite only managing 12 laps due to issues with the hydraulic pressure. Lewis Hamilton was less than a tenth of a second off his teammate’s best time, with Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz showing the strength of the Toro Rosso on the high speed Silverstone circuit.

As anticipated, there was no better news at McLaren, with Jenson Button stuck in the garage due to mechanical troubles, and Fernando Alonso running reduced laps whilst testing new upgrades for the car.
