Fastest laps - British Grand Prix 2015 - Mercedes power dominates high speed circuit

Räikkönen takes the fight to Mercedes-powered cars
Credit: Ferrari Media

It's no surprise to see race winner Lewis Hamilton on top of the fastest laps leaderboard, setting his fastest time five laps after Nico Rosberg managed his own top lap time. Kimi Räikkönen is the surprise interloper, splitting the two Williams drivers on pace. Discounting Hamilton, who was at least three tenths faster than anyone else, the top six are split by just three tenths of a second.

The competition could be close, and the Silverstone race showed us a glimpse of what it would be like for another team to be able to compete with Mercedes, but sadly it couldn't last for long, and the end result is another familiar story.
