Hamilton secured another pole position in Belgium, posting a lap time almost half a second faster than teammate Rosberg. Behind them, Bottas and Pérez managed to secure a spot on the second row of the grid, with Red Bull and Ferrari struggling to make any headway. Although Vettel posted the 8th fastest time during Q3, Kimi Räikkönen failed to make it out of the second session.

The two McLaren drivers were last in the results, with both drivers knowing they are in for an almighty lot of grid drop penalties before tomorrow's race. Button was almost four seconds off the pole time, with Alonso a further half a second further back.
