Starting grid - Bahrain Grand Prix 2015 - Stewards look kindly towards Vettel and Button for race

Vettel given no penalty for practice incident

Whilst no penalties affect the grid in Bahrain, the stewards still had some work to do. Jenson Button failed to set a lap time in qualifying but was given dispensation to start the race based on a previous lap time in FP2. Considering Button's lack of running this weekend, it's lucky the stewards had anything to work with for the ailing McLaren.

They also let Sebastian Vettel off a penalty, after taking a closer look at the incident between the Ferrari driver and Sergio Pérez in the Force India during second practice. Vettel starts the race from the front row after outqualifying Nico Rosberg, but he'll have his work cut out for him defending/attack two Mercedes drivers off the line.
