For the final practice session, Vettel posted the fastest time before rain moved in to mix things up. As the weather forecasts suggest rain in qualifying as well, teams were quick to head out on the wet tyre compounds to test out their performance. Sergio Pérez suffered a puncture halfway through the session, whilst Fernando Alonso stopped out on track causing a brief red flag.

With rain falling after the green flags were raised, drivers slipped and slided their way around the track to capitalise on the wet weather running. Nico Rosberg found himself running off track at one point, but avoided any damage and kept his car out of the barriers.
