Free Practice 2 results - Austrian Grand Prix 2015 - Vettel tops the times amidst gearbox troubles

After a slow start to the day, Sebastian Vettel zoomed to the top of the timesheets for second practice on Friday. He sat out the first session due to gearbox issues, and they cropped up again during the second half of the afternoon. He’d already set the fastest lap time, with Nico Rosberg just one hundredth of a second behind him.

The two McLaren drivers completed just 17 laps each, but everyone else (barring Vettel) managed more than 30. Grosjean was on the pace in 7th, despite missing out on first practice after handing his car to a Friday driver. Daniel Ricciardo didn’t have such luck, finishing way down in 17th, splitting the McLarens.
