Free Practice 1 results - Austrian Grand Prix 2015 - Rosberg takes early honours at Red Bull Ring

Nico Rosberg posted the fastest time in Austria, on the pace almost immediately the practice session began. Kimi Räikkönen was third behind Lewis Hamilton, but his Ferrari teammate Sebastian Vettel was unable to complete any meaningful running due to a gearbox problem. Lotus allowed Jolyon Palmer a run in Grosjean’s Lotus, but the team were firmly midfield, alongside Force India.

Felipe Nasr put on a good show for Sauber, finishing fifth fastest, whilst the McLaren duo continued to struggle. Alonso completed only 10 laps after sitting out much of the session due to an engine installation issue. Button managed 30 laps, but was only a few tenths faster than his teammate anyway.
