Constructor standings - Australian Grand Prix 2015 - McLaren and Lotus kick off season with zero points
Mercedes rocketed to the top of the championship standings with the maximum 43 points available in Australia. Ferrari were next in line, with Sauber (also powered by the Italian manufacturer) third. It was a great start to the year for the Swiss team, particularly as they finished 2014 with no points.
McLaren and Lotus failed to get any points on the board, after the latter suffered a double DNF. McLaren may not have been expecting any points, as Jenson Button claimed just getting to the finish of the race was the start the team desperately needed.
