McLaren have signed a new multi-yerar sponsorship deal with CNN, the international news broadcasters, from 2015 onwards. CNN have previously sponsored Caterham but are moving up the grid to join the McLaren-Honda team in a new partnership. McLaren had been without a title sponsor since the departure of Vodafone to Ferrari, and although CNN aren't signed as title partners, it's a big deal for both.

CEO Ron Dennis says: "There is an inherent symmetry between McLaren and CNN that makes us perfectly attuned for partnership. Our shared love of technology has united us and together we will pursue new opportunities far beyond the conventional scope of a Formula 1 partnership. I think the executives at CNN are as excited as we are about the potential of this relationship."

2015 has so far proved a fruitful one for new sponsorship deals, as Williams and Force India have both announced additional partnerships. Williams have a new clothing partner in Hackett, after losing McGregor previously. They say: "As part of the agreement Hackett will supply the apparel worn by Williams personnel at each Grand Prix during the Formula One season, as well as the apparel and luggage used by team members during their travels around the world." Even the baseball caps worn by the drivers will get the Hackett touch.

Force India, meanwhile, have announced "the beginning of a partnership with world-famous tequila brand, Jose Cuervo." It's a more straightforward sponsorship deal with boss Vijay Mallya saying: "They are a true giant of the tequila industry and I’m delighted that we can work with them to deliver a far-reaching marketing campaign. It’s an exciting time to join the team off the back of our most successful season ever and we look forward to celebrating a memorable year of racing together."
