Despite Williams' recent negative turn of form, Valtteri Bottas remains positive about each session he participates in. After Friday practice, the Finn was firmly down in 18th place, but eyeing up some of the machinery on his teammate's car:

"We still have quite a bit of work to do with the car balance as we are struggling with the front end, particularly in the mid-corner. We need to work on that, but the positive thing is that we seem to have made a step forward with the new front wing we tested on Pastor's car, so I look forward to trying that myself."

In qualifying, both the Williams drivers were knocked out in the first session, along with the Caterham and Marussia lineups. Despite the setback, Bottas hopes he can regain some of the performance on race day:

"I drove a good lap but unfortunately we just didn't have the pace in the car to get us through to Q2, with the car lacking overall grip when I was pushing hard on my final run. Of course the team are disappointed with this result but I am fully focused to work hard with them to improve the car's performance ahead of the race tomorrow so that we can make up a good number of places."
