Red Bull and Mercedes are not the best of friends at the moment, and Sebastian Vettel has admitted he found the race tactics in Monaco very frustrating. Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton secured the front row of the grid in qualifying, and they led away at the start of the race.

At this point, Vettel explains, things became impossible: "It was clear what they were doing after couple of laps after start - they were going slow and trying to make a one-stop happen. Fair play, they were in the lead, and it is very tricky to pass.

"Every time I tried to get close, they reacted. They could afford to go slow and they had the pace to pick it up again."

The two Red Bull drivers did manage to get past one of the Mercedes duo, as Hamilton lost out during a pit stop under the safety car. Vettel says he is happy with the result, but he also made sure to scoop the fastest lap of the race right near the end for nothing more than "satisfaction."
