Mark Webber finished the Belgian Grand Prix in second place, just behind his teammate, for a dominant Red Bull 1-2 finish. The Australian had a good weekend back after the summer holiday, celebrating his 35th birthday and re-signing with his team for the 2012 season.

He qualified third on the grid but failed to get away at the start, suffering when the anti-stall kicked in. He lost positions into the first corner, but through a combination of overtaking and pit stop strategy, he made his way back to finish on the podium.

A particular highlight of his race was battling with Fernando Alonso for position going into the Eau Rouge hill. After the race, the Ferrari driver paid tribute to his rival, despite losing the position, saying: "With Mark it's always good to battle, a lot of respect for everybody."
