With four distinct weeks of testing complete, both Mercedes GP drivers are feeling confident for the coming season. Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg shared driving duties on the final day of testing in Barcelona, although Schumacher was unable to set a time. Nevertheless, Michael is sure that with the right balance on the car, they will be able to do well in Australia.

Meanwhile, Nico Rosberg spoke after his final stint in the car, and concluded that although the team still have a way to go, their car is looking good: "Of course we are not there yet, as we want to win the world championship and we are not the fastest car yet, but things are going in the right direction so that is really nice to see."

He also added that Mercedes have struggled with a difficult winter, but by the time they get to Melbourne, they'll be raring to go for the 2011 season. Finally, he said: "I think there is one team that is clear ahead and that is not us at the moment – but I may be wrong. We expect that we are better than last year and that is the main thing.
