Romain Grosjean celebrates launch of 2017 Haas challenger

Romain Grosjean was on hand in Barcelona to help launch the new Haas car for the 2017 season, one day ahead of winter testing getting underway. The VF-17 was revealed and hit the track for a few laps during a filming day for the US squad.

Grosjean, who enters his second season with the new team, has been excitedly sharing his thoughts on social media during the build up to the big reveal. And with the car finally out in the open, he tweeted: "Say hello the the #VF17. What's your thought ??? Looking sharp and fast isn't it?"

The team have retained Grosjean for their second (or as they call it, sophomore) year, and are bringing on board Kevin Magnussen to create something of a dream team. Haas got their debut season off to a great start by scoring points on their first outing, but boss Gene Haas is tempering his expectations for 2017.

"Melbourne was my proudest moment of 2016 because it was our inaugural race and actually scoring points was a record-breaking event. For 2017, if we can do a little bit better because our business model in F1 allows us to operate more efficiently, we might be able to move up a position or two."
