Paul di Resta found himself with limited running during Free Practice today, when his teammate took the car out during the first session and crashed it. Friday driver Nico Hülkenberg only completed seven laps in the Force India before crashing the car. It took the mechanics a good proportion of the afternoon to fix it, leaving Di Resta enough time to complete just seven laps himself.

Speaking about the work ahead of him, Di Resta admitted it may have put him on the back foot: "It's hard coming here having done nine laps last year to have only three timed laps going into Saturday morning. It becomes a question of how risky you want to be changing things and the setup because you are still improving yourself and the track is going to evolve."

However, the British driver was quick to point out that he bore no grudge against Hülkenberg, saying: "It makes things tricky, but it benefited me last year being a rookie to the championship this year. It's a team policy and I went along with it. It has not hampered me too much up to now and hopefully it won't hamper me this weekend."
