So far, things in Turkey have appeared quite damp, with Free Practice 1 being the first time the teams and drivers could get a good look at Pirelli's wet tyres in a race weekend. Ferrari were fast, whilst Red Bull and McLaren were not, but they have another 90 minutes now to rectify the situation.

The weather is supposed to ease up and the rain should hold off for the rest of the day.

Free Practice 2 should get underway at 12pm GMT+1, which is something like 2pm local time.

One to Watch

I suspect all eyes will be on Sebastian Vettel this afternoon after the defending champion crashed his Red Bull into a barrier. The German had been waiting out a lot of the session and only managed to complete four laps before his car ended up in the wall. It was returned to the garage on the back of a truck during a red flag period, so the mechanics will have had their work cut out of them ahead of FP2.
