Spain 2010 - The race - Red Bull and McLaren do battle at the Spanish track

Published by Christine

There was not much out of place in qualifying, with Red Bull and McLaren dominating proceedings. Webber was exceedingly fast and Vettel could only just hang on to his coat tails - so going into the first corner today will be the best bit of the race.

Weather update

After predicting rain all week, the forecasts have now changed their minds and it looks as though the sun might be breaking through. This is slightly disappointing as the prospect of a wet race was good, the prospect of a dry race is less so.

One to watch

I'm afraid it is going to have to be Michael Schumacher again, as the man seems to be on top form now he's got the car under him that suits. He's beaten Rosberg in every session so far this weekend, which is a major step forward for the former champ. What can he achieve in the race today?

Predictions please

Will the weather cause any undue concern? Who will end up on the top step of the podium? Will we see the safety car? Who will win the battle of the new teams?
