Red Bull had a great start to the weekend, with Webber leading a damp first session, and Vettel taking top honours in second practice. In fact, the top five championship contenders finished in the top five, showing that things are no less close at the top.

Weather update

Singapore, Saturday

30℃

  • Low 25℃
  • Humidity 74%

Light showers

There was no real rain to speak of within the sessions themselves yesterday, but the track was being reported as slippery throughout - specifically on the white lines and painted sections. Thankfully, any fears about reflections seem to have been put to rest for now.

One to watch

Michael Schumacher will be one hoping for damp weather, as he believes their car is quicker in the wet. It seems odd, but the man himself said:

Looking at it now in dry conditions, we seem to be suffering a bit more compared to the first session. When it was mixed conditions, we looked quite strong. It did not go as well as I would have liked in the second session, but it was good in the initial one.

- Michael Schumacher

The first session was a lot slower than the first all round, though, with the fastest time about 8 seconds faster during FP2.

Predictions please

Will it be Red Bull on top once more in final practice? Will Klien be able to do any better? Will there be rain? Who will crash off, if anyone?
