Monaco 2010 - Free Practice 1 - The highlight of the Formula One calendar begins on Thursday

Published by Christine

After the lull of three weeks, back to back racing is quite a surprise. It seems as though the teams think the same, as they have been struggling to get everything ready in the paddock for Free Practice - a day earlier than normal.

Weather update

The early forecasts suggest rain throughout the entire weekend, with the sun only popping it's head out of the clouds on Monday. I don't believe a word of it, of course, as it was a similar story in Barcelona where there was... no rain.

One to watch

Today I'm going to pick Mark Webber, as he is coming off the back of a strong win in Barcelona, and has already said he knows Monaco won't be easy. We've seen how he copes on the simulator, and now we can keep an eye on him at the actual circuit too.

Predictions please

Will we see some of the rain we are promised? Will any of the cars struggle around the tight streets of Monaco? Will Jenson do any jogging this weekend? Who will finish the first session on top?
