Malaysia 2010 - Free Practice 1 - Another weekend begins with ninety minutes on the practice clock

Published by Christine

With the fabulous racing in Australia still fresh in our minds, it's time to move on to Malaysia, where all eyes are on the weather.

Weather update

Heavy rain showers for all three days appears to be the forecast, and unusually, that has been the forecast since at least this time last week. Normally, we watch as the sun and clouds move around and take the showers away, but it looks like Malaysia is destined for rain throughout.

One to watch

Hot on the heels of a successful Friday drive by Paul di Resta, Fairuz Fauzy is going to be doing the same thing but for Lotus Racing instead. It's pretty obvious that the home crowd is at least part of the decision, but training up your third driver is a smart move, so it'll be good to see how Fauzy copes with his F1 debut.

Predictions please

Will it be raining? How much running will we see? How will the track hold up on it's first F1 session? Will anyone crash? How will Fauzy do? Who will top the session?
