Malaysia 2009 - Free Practice 3 - KERS concerns are raised as a new day of F1 begins

Published by Christine

I am particularly interested in KERS today, as all eyes will be on the Ferrari to see if it explodes again, whilst BMW are presumably using FP3 to make their final decision on Heidfeld's running of the device.

Weather update

The BBC have the weather forecast as heavy rain, with a maximum of 34°C and a minimum of 25. The wind looks to be relatively calm. It's not clear when exactly in the day we'll be seeing rain, but with the rest of the weekend looking to be a washout as well, I don't see how it can be avoided.

One to watch

Lewis Hamilton has had more than his fair share of drama this weekend, but for now, it seems like that is over. He's said his piece and there is nothing more he can do. The question is, will it affect him once he gets inside the car? We need to see him putting in some stellar performances to prove to the doubters, and to himself, that it's about what happens on track and not in the press room.

Predictions please

We've seen a KERS blow up and one crash, will there be any more incidents in Free Practice 3? Will Rosberg continue his strong practice performance, or will Saturday morning reflect more what is going to happen in qualifying?
