So far, Red Bull have shown good pace, and as the track is expected to be strong for them anyway, we shouldn't be surprised if they continue to be strong today. We've got an hour's worth of practice ahead of us before qualifying gets underway and it appears the weather is against us.

Weather update

Heavy rain

After the practice sessions were done and dusted yesterday, the rain really started to fall and there were even rumours that if it continued like that, drivers would be pondering whether qualifying could even go ahead. Today is a brand new day, of course, but it will all depend on how the clouds behave themselves.

One to watch

Hamilton had quite a big off in the very first session, and crashed out where a lot of other drivers struggled. The difference was, of course, that they managed to continue, whilst Lewis' running was curtailed quite considerably. He's got a lot of work to do today.

I had to run the older rear wing in the afternoon, so I didn't really get a proper feel for where the car is. And, hopefully, we'll have a second new rear wing for qualifying and the race. Tomorrow's another day – and it looks like it's going to rain, so everybody will have to start again. They say bad things come in threes – so after Monza, Singapore and today, I hope this run of bad luck is over and done with.

- Lewis Hamilton

Anyone else feel they need to touch wood and other such superstitious things now?

Predictions please

Will it be pouring with rain? Will we see any running at all? If cars do get out on track, will any of them spin off? Will Red Bull continue to dominate the weekend?
