The second session of the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend is about to get underway, and Free Practice 2 is usually more busy than the morning session. It all depends on the weather, but drivers will want to get as much tyre data as they can, wet or dry.

Weather update

rain

Hungaroring, Hungary, Friday

25℃

  • Low 18℃
  • Humidity 61%

Heavy rain showers

More rain is forecast, but you can never quite tell at these circuits what is going to happen in the sky. They all appear to have their own micro-climates, and whatever anyone on the pitwall suggests... go with the opposite!

One to watch

Robert Kubica was holding his own as best-of-the-rest during the first session, and he's looked quite on form for a few weeks now. Could this be Renault's weekend to have a bit of luck? During Free Practice 1, they tweeted:

Robert said that Hungaroring should suit the characteristics of the R30 better than Hockenheim. It's a great track

They like the track, Robert looks strong. What can they achieve this weekend?

Predictions please

Who will be victorious in the afternoon and lead the charge to the top spot? Will the Red Bull boys still be super fast? Will the track still be dusty and slippery and cause a few problems? WILL IT RAIN?
